There's only one power—God
Some time ago a small growth appeared on my knee. Instead of doing anything about it, I simply ignored it.
Several weeks after this, my work situation changed, becoming unpleasant, almost hostile. Our new manager was described by some as calculating and cold. I was still confident about my professional performance, and when I was offered a transfer to Dallas, Texas, I was very pleased. It seemed like an opportunity to escape the situation in my office.
My transfer was threatened, however, when the manager announced that he was going to block the move because he wanted me to remain in my current position and take on additional responsibilities. I knew that the only way to deal with the situation was to pray—really pray. This meant praying about the problem, not ignoring it (which is what I had been doing in both situations), and learning more about the operation of God's law in every aspect of my life.
