At one time, my view of womanhood was very limited. When I was in my early twenties, a doctor suggested to me (and he really believed in God), that women were the beginning of evil in the world. I accepted this as true. I thought that women should be servants to men. Consequently, I was very careful about my relationships with women. So much so that my mother was afraid that I would never be married. Finally, though, I met a woman I really loved. And I got brave and married her.
The Bible was always a source of inspiration for me. But only as I began to study Science and Health did my view of women change. Then I could understand that men and women are created equal. As Paul says, “...there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Gal 3:28). I understood also that God and all His children are good. So women could only be good, like God.
