YOUR LETTERS
"It takes listening to be led aright. When the motive is to share, God takes care of it."
The December 28 issue was an eye-opener to me. As I've read and reread Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I've at times thought that her book has become dated in some areas. The article "Prayer triumphs over inequality" reminded me that there are many parts of the world where women are not treated equally—where, indeed, they cannot own property, vote, or even claim their own children in the event that their husband dies. It was a needed reminder that Mrs. Eddy wrote her book for the world, not just for Americans or those people living in the Western World.

When I tuck three copies of the Sentinel in my tote bag daily, I think of them as representatives of Life, Truth, and Love going out to nourish hungry hearts.
