Q A

Q Is there any special preparation for marriage before marrying  a Christian Scientist? If so, where and how can it be obtained?

A There is no prenuptial ritual or program sponsored by the Church, but there is a great deal of spiritual guidance on marriage to be found in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with the Key to the Scriptures. One entire chapter of the book is devoted to the subject of marriage, and it offers inspiration and practical help for everyone. Also, when Christian Scientists consider marriage, it is a time of earnest prayer, seeking God's direction and blessing.

Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, established the Church of Christ, Scientist, "...to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing."
