Fear—don't buy it!
Safe in the city at night
Are you ever afraid? What if I told you that there is a way out of fear? There is. No matter what fear is trying to tell you, there is a way of destroying it and gaining dominion over it.
Expecting something to go wrong makes room for fear. But God, the all-powerful and omnipresent, is unchanging goodness. He doesn't cause fear or allow it to grip His creation. God created everything in His image, and entirely good. All is harmony—fear is not there, because God never made it.
Christ Jesus obviously understood this. He perceived not only that God is entirely good, but that He is always and everywhere present. This understanding gave Jesus complete control in even the most frightening of circumstances. He never forgot his own status as God's beloved Son. Equipped with this armor of spiritual understanding, how could Jesus be afraid of anything?
