Find work that you love
There's a job that needs you as much as you need it.
The big day —graduation—was just a few weeks away. Unlike most of my classmates, it seemed, I was deeply worried because I didn't have a job lined up yet. In fact, I didn't even have a clue as to which direction my career would take. An advanced degree seemed like a plausible next step, and I'd been accepted by several universities, but there was simply no funding available anywhere.
As I walked across campus holding the rejection letter from my last possible source of funding, I did something I realized I should have done a lot sooner—I prayed. I had learned that prayer, drawing close to God, provides inspiration, guidance, and healing. So, putting aside disappointment and worry as best I could, I tried to understand more clearly my relation to God and what He had in store for me. And I began by thanking God for all the good I had received.
