Dear Sentinel
When I was about six years old, I went to the dentist, but this time the dentist said, "Erika, your jaw is too small for your teeth, and when you're older, you'll probably need braces." My mom and I looked at each other and immediately started praying. Some of the thoughts we talked about were "What God made is perfect" and "God made all." We denied the thought that I would need braces and prayed to see God's perfect order—that there was a rightful place for each tooth and that God made me perfect and maintained me that way.
The next time I saw the dentist he said that he wouldn't even think of me needing braces!
Ever since, whenever I go to the dentist's office, everyone there always says how nice my teeth are.
