"... a time to dance"
Do away with the doldrums.
Do you ever wake up in the morning feeling sorry for yourself because so many things are going wrong? Sometimes I do. In fact, not long ago I found myself steeped in self-pity. Our road had washed out. My computer was still down after a whole week of trying to get it fixed. Gophers had eaten five of my twenty-nine new poplar trees. I felt frustrated and sorry for myself.
As usual, when I've temporarily lost my way, I prayed. And this prayer soon led me to this Bible passage: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:... a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance" (Eccl. 3:1, 4).
Well, I said to myself, you'll just have to cancel that mourning time and dance.
