"When I consider ..."*
Gases, cosmic dust and debris, black holes,
Moving mindlessly in dark, bleak, obscure courses?
This is not the beautiful starlit sky we love!
The difference?—sunray, light.
Radiant sun seeks out moon and distant planets,
Lends brightness, delineates pattern, reveals order,
And illumines earth with shining
highlighted beauty—
temporal hint of the eternal real.
It is the sun's doing.
Flesh, bone, brain, corporeality,
Reacting to electric stimuli through minute synapse?
This is not the beloved man of Spirit's deep dimension!
The difference?—spiritual understanding of Light.
See John 1:1–9; Science and Health 561:25–10 .
As shadow-free showforth of Light's active allness,
The spiritual, real man—illumined by Mind,
moved by Life, crowned with dominion—
Culminates God's design in
reflected immortal radiance.
We are God's handiwork.
