"Do you need a second income?"
That's what a sign in the grocery store said. It got me thinking about what income really is.
Of course, income is usually thought of as a paycheck. There is so much more to it, however. We each have a spiritual income that God gives us. It consists of the abundant supply of good ideas always coming to us from divine Mind.
If we think of our income only in terms of money, we will be directed and restricted by what our bank balance tells us. It may seem that what we need is more money, or matter, in order to have a better life. But what we really need is to listen for and hear the ideas that God is sending us. That is, our real need is to understand more about our relation to God, divine Love, and to see what He provides. Utilizing ideas that come from God, we find our human needs—for food, home, employment—met. Even when we don't have any money, there is a right idea from God that will meet our needs.
