What are the real demands on us?
It had been a challenging week. We were in the midst of final preparations for an extended trip, and the normal daily work still needed much attention. As I drove home from the last appointment of the day, I found myself reaching out to God for the reassurance that all needful things would be accomplished.
This certainly had been proved to me many times in the past. I had learned from my study of Christian Science that God is the all-knowing, all-acting Mind and that this Mind is always imparting ideas that express its goodness and might. I recalled a time when reassurance from this verse in Isaiah had brought complete refreshment: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (41:10).
