Christian Science has effectively satisfied the health care needs...
Christian Science has effectively satisfied the health care needs of children and adults in our family for four generations. A few of these healings have been reported in the Christian Science magazines. Think how many pages they would take if all of the healings were recorded!
When I was in second grade, I became sick one evening. My mother provided the most loving, constant care a parent could give. A Christian Science practitioner was telephoned to pray for me. And when morning came, Mother called the county health department as required by law, since this appeared to be the reportable disease scarlet fever.
The health officer came to our house and made that diagnosis, although he said it was unusual because I had had scarlet fever a couple of years earlier. Before he left, he sat by my bedside and stressed that I was a very sick little girl. I'd like to say here that we appreciated his concern.
