For children,
You are never alone!
When you were little you probably always had someone with you to take care of you: to tuck you into bed, to hold your hand when you crossed the street, or to help you tie your shoes. Now you can do so many things on your own, even help care for younger children.
Doing more on your own, as you may have already found, means that Mom or Dad isn't always there to fix things or to offer to help. If you can't reach a parent or someone close to you to ask for help, you can rely on your heavenly Father-Mother, God. Christ Jesus knew this, and he told us, "Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him" (Matt. 6:8).
You can always turn your thought to God and then listen. God's thoughts quiet fear. They inspire us to be unselfish, and they comfort us, leaving us at peace. Listening to and obeying God is prayer, and it meets our needs.
