I often visit a friend who has two cats
I often visit a friend who has two cats. One always runs and hides, except when I drop by. When my friend once spoke of this with surprise, I explained it was probably because I'd learned to appreciate the spiritual qualities expressed by cats, so the cat felt as at peace with me as I did with him. Then I told her this healing.
My dictionary defines allergic as "excessively sensitive" and it defines compatible as "capable of coexisting in harmony." What those two words express sums up the healing I had.
At one time many years previous when my husband and I were dinner guests, I enjoyed seeing our hosts' house cat. But as the evening progressed I felt extremely incompatible with our hostess. Soon I began to experience symptoms of an allergic nature to this pet. For a long time after that, those same symptoms occurred whenever I was indoors with a cat. I just put up with this situation, ignoring the need to pray for healing through my understanding of Christian Science.
