Class instruction in Christian Science: it's primary
Primary class instruction in Christian Science can make such a difference in your life. It lays a foundation for further progress in your individual study and practice of Christian Science, in your service to humanity, and in your freedom from limitation.
How does class instruction lay this foundation for progress in your study? It offers two weeks of uninterrupted time to devote yourself exclusively to the study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings. The class subjects are comprehensive; they are chosen and presented in an orderly manner from the basis of Mrs. Eddy's own class-book, as she revised it for the chapter "Recapitulation" in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. This instruction is provided under the guidance and inspiration of a teacher of Christian Science who is duly authorized to teach such a class (see the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy, Arts. XXVI and XXVII).
The daily classroom presentation and discussions, and the pupil's individual study outside of the classroom, give each one a clear view of the basic teachings of Christian Science—of God and His creation, of the divine Principle and rule of Christian healing. This clear view facilitates each pupil's ability to discern the spiritual meaning of the Scriptures, and the undeviating consistency of all of the statements in Science and Health (and their consistency with Christ Jesus' teachings). In short, class promotes a lifetime of progress in spiritual understanding and the demonstration of healing—through your continuing study of Christian Science, through your teacher's wise and patient guidance, and through the further development of the fundamentals of Science presented at your yearly pupils' association meetings.
