When Henry IV of France was crowned king in the sixteenth century, he said, "... I hope to make France so prosperous that every peasant will have a chicken in his pot on Sunday." From this came 1932's well-known presidential campaign slogan in the United States, "A chicken in every pot."
The early thirties were a time of economic depression in the world; and, for many, these last few years have also been tough. Yet people are turning wholeheartedly to God today and discovering how He truly loves and cares for each of His children.
"The goodness of God endureth continually," says the Bible. If God's goodness is constantly available to His children, it is doubtful that 1993 will be the year it is to stop! The supply of good in your life is a continuous supply—it is of your loving Father who cherishes you as His creation—and it is as permanent as He is. ...
