The first healing I recall that came to me through Christian Science...
The first healing I recall that came to me through Christian Science treatment happened when I was in high school. The shoes I wore while playing tennis had rubbed the skin on my smallest toe. One afternoon the toe hurt very badly. When I removed my shoe and sock, my mother and I saw signs of infection, or blood poisoning, which was affecting the whole foot and leg.
My mother at once went to the phone and called a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me. As a result of this prayer, the infection was healed quickly.
This early healing did not come about because of any metaphysical treatment on my own part, although I was a pupil in the Sunday School, was certainly receptive, and felt no fear. But about three years ago I did have a healing that resulted from my own prayer.
