In 1970 some boys with whom I was unacquainted left a copy of The Herald of Christian Science at my house. I was suffering from a nervous disorder then, and I had a problem with my spine. I was also having bouts with tooth infections and frequent flu and colds. To sum it up, my health was in a precarious condition.

I lived with that Herald; I read it and read it, and it brought me so much light. After I realized that the Herald carried the address of a Christian Science church, I went to get acquainted with it. Since then I have never stopped attending its services. I became a member, and then I joined The Mother Church in Boston and took Primary class instruction in Christian Science the following year.

From the time I received that Herald so unexpectedly and began to understand it to some degree, I never took any more medicine; I was healed of all the problems mentioned—solely through Christian Science. Sometimes these healings came through my own prayers, and other times with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. All aspects of my life improved, and I became able to help other members of my family, especially my grandchildren.
