God's provision—wherever we are
Even in the face of severe economic conditions, we can prove that God's universal love is caring for each one of us.
Underdevelopment , overpopulation, low personal and national income, homelessness—these are daunting problems for many countries and the people living in them. Resources and opportunities appear to be limited, sometimes severely. But we aren't helpless in the face of such circumstances. We can challenge limitation through prayer.
The Bible is always available as a guide in working out problems of any kind. For example, it is helpful to consider what Christ Jesus taught about provision in the Sermon on the Mount: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." This promise includes each of us.
Jesus illustrated his teachings in practical ways, healing the sick and feeding the hungry. The power that the Master demonstrated was no personal ability but an expression of his relationship to God. As the Son of God, he had a clear understanding of the creator and of man's reflection of the divine nature. Jesus taught us that as we follow him as our Wayshower, we too can prove God's healing power.
