From early childhood I suffered with epilepsy

From early childhood I suffered with epilepsy. Medical specialists were consulted but were unable to find much in the way of relief for me.

Later, when I was married and went to Chicago to live, my health did not get better but worsened. We decided to consult a well-known specialist. After examining me for a week, all he could tell me was that there was no cure at that time. Then he gave me a prescription which I was to take three times a day.

When my husband died in the late forties, I moved to Los Angeles. Subsequently I remarried, and my husband's sister-in-law introduced me to Christian Science. While I was not intensely interested at first, with her encouragement we read together daily the Bible Lesson from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Later, after a move to a suburb I attended a nearby branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and went to the Christian Science Reading Room. I attended services every Sunday.
