Upcoming series on the Scriptures in The Christian Science Journal
A new monthly series on the Bible will begin in the November issue of The Christian Science Journal. The Editors feel it is especially appropriate to launch the series in November, the month when National Bible Week is celebrated in the United States.
Over the next year and a half, "The reforming power of the Scriptures" will focus on the inspiring story of those individuals who fought and sacrificed to give us the Holy Bible. This illustrated series will encompass the thrilling history of how the world's scriptures developed over thousands of years.
Associate Editor Mary Metzner Trammell and Feature Editor William Dawley will prepare the series. Mrs. Trammell brings to this work her background in Bible scholarship and Mr. Dawley his background as a journalist. We hope the series will appeal to all readers—adults, children, those who are familiar with Bible history, and those who are not.
The first article in this series will be titled "The world's scriptures—from caveman to Christianity."
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
