In
a world of extremes—of emotional lows and highs, sadness and happiness—can we find a stable source joy?
By standing on the "rock" of prayer, we can see God's goodness break through even the darkest moments of life.
Whatever new we learn of God's truth also brings with it a new level of trust in Him.
Reasoning spiritually, we learn that depression is not of God, therefore it does not have the power or reality it sometimes seems to.
The author's experience reawakens her faith in God's existence. She discerns God's nearness with something more than human reason. It is spiritual sense that helps her.
Instead of erratic extremes, through prayer we can cultivate the equipoise and serenity that come from God.
God gives us so much good, so much joy. How can we actually live that joy today?
While we may think of predictions as innocent or harmless, ungrounded predictions need to be recognized as powerless.
