New to Christian Science
Through more openhearted sharing of Christian Science, people all over the world are hearing about this way of life for the first time.
I think, for example, of acquaintances in Nigeria, Ghana, and India, who only a few years ago began to study Christian Science or of a Protestant minister who wrote last year to a friend of mine: "I have been a student of Christian Science for several years. My healing ministry, which is always a component of the pastor office anyway, is increasingly rewarding, now based on my growing understanding of what is real and what is false. God has blessed my ministry since 1987 with spiritual direction from a Christian Science practitioner here. My faith has been rescued and uplifted and I am thankful for healings experienced and witnessed."
Coming new to Christian Science, people frequently have a feeling of anticipation about exploring a new world of spiritual truth that spreads out before them. They look forward to entering into it each day, especially as they begin to see how healing and freedom from physical troubles are naturally part of this exploration.
