How close is God?
God's nearness is more than a comforting thought; it's a powerful, provable reality.
Original in German
Lots of people believe there is a God, but how do they picture the Almighty? Often He's thought of in abstract terms as some far-off being, unapproachable, out of reach. Many, therefore, remember God and pray for help only in extreme need. Perhaps these prayers are not always answered because they represent a call to God to come to us rather than a recognition of His constant presence.
Prayer in its deepest sense is based on an acknowledgment of the omnipotence and omnipresence of divine Love. The Bible tells us, in the book of Acts, that God is "not far from every one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being."
