My first healing in Christian Science was of recurring constipation that had enslaved me for thirty years. I am grateful to God for the Christian Science practitioner who prayed for me at my request. I was healed quickly of this trouble, and my healing has proved permanent.

One of the statements that impressed me at the time of my healing is from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action."

After this healing I joined The Mother Church and a local branch church. I am actively serving the community in the latter.

I also took Christian Science class instruction and now can help my neighbor as well as myself. A hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal helped me to understand that God is our Physician and heals all our illnesses:
