My name is Garrett and I am in the fifth grade
My name is Garrett and I am in the fifth grade. One summer day I came home from day camp and I wasn't feeling very well. My face was swelling but I wasn't really afraid. I go to Sunday School at the Christian Science church in my town, and I read Bible stories about how God heals people who love Him. I love God because He helps me calm down when I pitch for my Little League baseball team, and He has helped me when I have been sick.
My dad and my Aunt Peggy prayed with me along with a Christian Science practitioner. They read me Bible stories about healings and sang hymns to me. My favorite story was the one of Daniel and the lions' den because Daniel wasn't afraid.
The next couple of days I still didn't feel very good and I couldn't see at all. So my dad took me to a Christian Science nursing facility and stayed with me. The nurses and the people there were very friendly.
