About a year and a half ago, our son who was in kindergarten...
About a year and a half ago, our son who was in kindergarten brought home a report from the school nurse. She said she had detected a hearing loss in both of his ears.
I engaged the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner. I remember the confident feeling I had as I prayed. I acknowledged that the child's real Father and Mother, who is God, is constantly communicating with him. I knew this communication can never be lost. As Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy states (p. 284), "The intercommunication is always from God to His idea, man."
After a short time I felt sure that healing was going on and dismissed the practitioner with thanks. I continued to pray about the situation and to affirm the spiritual truth brought out on page 486 of Science and Health: "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost." The physical healing was soon apparent; and when hearing tests were administered the following year, the results showed the child's hearing was normal.
