At one time I struggled with a recurring stomach problem
At one time I struggled with a recurring stomach problem. Very suddenly I would become nauseated and doubled over with severe cramps. Each time this happened the trouble was quickly met through prayer, but fear of the condition remained.
One day during an attack I called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help. She asked me to read some pages in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, beginning with page 390. After I hung up the telephone, I made a decision to really work for a complete healing. I was simply tired of accepting the difficulty, which I knew had not touched my real being as a child of God.
I began to read Science and Health, and the wonderful truths seemed to leap from the page. The firm spiritual stand that we must take against the suggestions of disease was clear to me. Science and Health states (p. 390): "Meet the incipient stages of disease with as powerful mental opposition as a legislator would employ to defeat the passage of an inhuman law."
