I am grateful that there are now five generations in my family...
I Am grateful that there are now five generations in my family who have been healed through reliance on Christian Science. My great-aunt was the first in our family to learn of this Science. In a short time she went from being a semi-invalid to having an active, joyous life. Eventually she became a Christian Science practitioner. My grandmother was so impressed with this transformation that she began to study Christian Science and was soon healed of severe headaches, astigmatism, and fallen arches.
When, at the age of nine, my mother was stricken with diphtheria, my grandmother called on this aunt for help. Soon after her arrival my mother was healed and asking for food. The doctor, who did not treat her but because of current laws had to examine her, was quite amazed. He asked only that my mother stay in the house until the end of the quarantine period, which she did. My mother remained well and suffered no aftereffects of the condition.
My grandmother and mother became sincere students of Christian Science. One day my mother made a list of some of the difficulties that have been healed in our family. The list includes a healing of peritonitis, kidney stones, boils, pneumonia, jaundice, and broken ribs. Also, a finger that had been almost severed was restored to full usefulness.
