For almost all of my life I have been a student of Christian Science
For almost all of my life I have been a student of Christian Science. My relatives, friends, and I have had numerous proofs that the power of God to cure every ill is as present today as it was in Christ Jesus' time.
When I was a child, one of several doctors who had been treating my mother suggested that she read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. He showed her a copy that he kept in a desk drawer in his office and said that if he did not have a family to support by his medical practice, he would become a Christian Scientist.
My mother bought a copy of Science and Health and talked with a practitioner. Through the practitioner's prayers and her own study of the Bible and Science and Health, my mother was healed of all the ills that medical treatment had been unable to cure. She stopped wearing a device she had been told was necessary for an organic difficulty, overcame a nervous disorder and frequent headaches, and her weight returned to normal. She lived a long and happy life.
