Some years ago I had an experience that greatly strengthened my understanding that God's man expresses the integrity of the one all-governing Mind. For some time I had been shopping for a much-needed winter coat. Finally I found just what I wanted at a specialty shop in a nearby city, and I arranged with the fitter to have some alterations made. Later on, when the coat was delivered to my home, I discovered that the alterations had not been made. I immediately telephoned the store and was told to return the coat so that the work could be done on it.

As I was wrapping the package for mailing, the thought came that it might be helpful to verify the telephone conversation in writing. On my personal letterhead I typed the name and address of the store, instructions for the fitter, and my office phone number. Then I tucked this letter into the coat pocket.

Several days after I had mailed the package, I received a notice from the main post office telling me that the wrapper had been received without its contents. The post office inquired whether I wished them to put a tracer on the item, and I asked them to do so. Upset and disappointed over losing my beautiful coat, I turned wholeheartedly to divine Mind for guidance. Then I called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful support.
