At one point I would gladly have given all I had or hoped to have to be free from pain. As a teen-ager I suffered from periodic headaches which were so severe that I couldn't stay still. I would pace the floor until I grew so tired that I would fall asleep from exhaustion. For one or two days afterward I would suffer aftereffects.
At the time, I had not heard of Christian Science and was under the care of our family doctor. Various remedies were tried until the doctor finally concluded that the headaches were migraine. He said that I would have to learn to live with them, although I would possibly outgrow them. I never did.
Later on, as an adult, I learned about Christian Science. After I had been studying Science for about a year, at one point I developed a headache that went beyond the usual day or two. I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner for help. The practitioner shared many spiritual truths of my real being as God's perfect child. She spoke to me for several minutes until suddenly I was free. I broke in to tell her so.
