A life of action
As I sat on the edge of the bed pulling off my shoes, there were few things I could imagine more wonderful than crawling under those blankets. After an especially busy day and being up all of the night before, finally some sleep! And then, much as I tried to resist it, a question began surfacing: "Is sleep what you really need? Don't you need the peace that prayer can bring?" With a lot of effort I dragged myself over to a chair.
Shortly after I drifted off, the telephone rang.
