True love
(written for a daughter's wedding)
Marriage is more than a fifty-fifty partnership;
it is 100 percent acknowledgment
of the presence of Love, divine Love.
This Love is expressed in
the tenderness that soothes,
the mercy that forgives,
the wisdom that perceives,
the inner peace that is patient,
and the power that sustains.
Spiritual love never changes,
but it refines and polishes
those who value and express it.
One who truly loves to give,
loves to care,
loves honesty,
perceptiveness,
cleanliness,
order,
beauty,
holiness,
and loves God, who is Love.
Such is a real love affair—
one that blesses all.
When we know God as Love,
we can never be separate from Love.
we find our unity in Truth, in Love.
