Last year I had an opportunity to prove that "the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword" (Heb. 4:12).
I am a combustion engineer, and I work in the powerhouse of a large automobile plant. In the powerhouse we burn gas, oil, and waste thinner to produce steam for the plant. Waste thinner comes as a result of purging the plant's paint line with thinner, which then becomes one of the fuels used to produce steam. We have two fifteen-thousand-gallon underground storage tanks for the waste thinner.
Last year the waste thinner started to return from the paint department containing more paint than thinner. The waste was so sludgelike that it would not burn; it plugged up the burners, and the pumps were unable to handle it. The boiler operators tried everything they knew in hopes of burning the mixture, but to no avail.
