I would like to express my great gratitude for two healings I had some years ago. Previous to my gaining a knowledge of Christian Science I had suffered intensely from back trouble. Finally I was operated on for a slipped disk. For years I had been given pills to alleviate the pain, and taking these had undermined my health. Also, not long after the operation, a lawsuit in which I had become unjustly involved was to be tried in court. I felt that mentally and physically I had reached the end of my endurance. I was convinced that it would be impossible for me to go through with a cross-examination in court, something I had been dreading for a year and a half.
At this time a relative introduced me to this Science. He also suggested that I ask a Christian Science practitioner to help me through those critical days. This suggestion seemed to me to be completely unrealistic, but I did seek the help of a practitioner, who agreed to support me through prayer. The practitioner encouraged me to recognize that divine justice will always be the victor, and that God is always with me.
