DID YOU EVER WONDER?

MARY ELIZABETH DAVIS

That waiting lad—
five loaves and two fishes,
that's all he had.^{See John 6:9 .}

So it seemed.

Where did he get them?
Why did he bring them?

To share with a friend?
To sell for a penny?
A gift for this Teacher?

Who knows?

Love knows.

What did he think,
that willing lad, who
gave to the Master all he had?

When all the people were fed,
did he find that he had much more
than he thought he had?

Wherever he came from,
wherever he went,
he must have been, surely,
heaven-sent, heaven-bound.

Heaven-found.

And what about Andrew,
did he wonder too?

And you?
