Getting better acquainted with God and man

Belief in a divine Being, intelligence, or power is widespread. But not so widespread is the practice of the healing, redemptive work that Christ Jesus' pure understanding introduced. A better acquaintance with God as Jesus knew Him would surely close the gap between belief in divinity and proof that He does in fact exist and govern all.

Jesus called God "Spirit," "Father," "good." He said that his ineffably good Father "maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." Matt. 5:45. Yet he called "devil," or evil, a liar (see John 8:44). And he treated wrongdoing as a lie by reforming wrongdoers, thus proving that evil can be overcome because it is neither coequal nor coexistent with infinite good, God.
