Are you a woman in a "man's world"?

Almost half of America's labor force is now made up of women.^{See Business Week, February 18, 1980, p. 150 .} This change brings with it the challenge to overcome all sexual stereotyping. Through Christian Science we can free ourselves and aid in the spiritual advancement of society in general.

If you feel that you have been caught between the lie of mortal belief and the truth of your perfect identity as the reflection of God, first you can be grateful that you have recognized the lie that man has two natures, a spiritual and a fallen one. Then you can proceed to deny specifically that lie about God's offspring. The truth is that God's man—our real and only being—has always been whole, complete, perfect. Not only are the feminine qualities of love and purity everyone's to claim, but so are all of the so-called masculine qualities such as strength and wisdom. Where merely imposed limits claim one is "not the type" for a certain job or that "this is a man's job" or "a woman's job," these are conceptions of mortal mind.

What is a job in reality? Whether one is a man or a woman, one's real work is to express the spiritual qualities of God such as love, wisdom, purity, and so on.
