No need for grief
I do not need to grieve for you, my friend;
you are the shining of the Light that never dims;
Soul's song cannot be silenced nor unsung.
Joy's deepening gladness, the continuing round of praise,
are yours, for all the days,
never to end.
Such radiancy of life is never done;
Life's living is unlimited and free—
timeless and spaceless being, infinite, one.
So now the ever-rising, broadening thought—
Love's mighty lift of wing—
carries us on.
There is no place for weeping sympathy
when such sweet songs of gladness echo round;
man with the morning stars makes melody.
Such peace, such beauty, and such comfort found
in Christ, forever with us,
set us free.
