Our family has had so many healings that there is not space to mention them all here. One summer we went camping for a few days. On the day that we were packing to return home, a cup of boiling hot chocolate spilled on my daughter's lap. The pain seemed intense, and I shared statements of truths with her as we cleaned her up. We acknowledged that God knows nothing of accidents, and spoke of other truths that came to mind.
However, the youngster was still in distress. So we drove to a nearby telephone and called first one Christian Science practitioner and then another, but could not reach either. Finally I phoned the child's grandmother to get the numbers of other practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal. She told us she would reach a practitioner and then call us back. When she phoned back, she gave us a message from the practitioner to the effect that the unreal has never affected the real.
That message immediately broke the fear, and my daughter became calm and joined us in breaking camp. We all rejoiced, and within a few days new skin appeared and the scabs fell off. This healing showed me that distance and time have no bearing on healing, and that Truth is ever present and all-powerful.
