FROM THE DIRECTORS

The Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society, with the concurrence of The Christian Science Board of Directors, is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 1982, J. Robert Erwin of Dallas, Texas, was appointed as Trustee of the Publishing Society, succeeding Zadie Hatfield.

Miss Hatfield asked to be released from the office of Trustee of The Christian Science Publishing Society in order to give more attention to the work of Publisher's Agent and to the public practice of Christian Science. We are grateful that the spiritual qualities she has demonstrated in various positions, including Manager of The Christian Science Publishing Society and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, will continue to serve this Cause.

Mr. Erwin has had many years of experience in the personnel field, including service to The Mother Church from 1965 to 1972 as Personnel Manager of the Publishing Society and then Manager of the combined headquarters Personnel Departments. Subsequently he joined Liquid Paper Corporation in Dallas and served as a president and director, and later as president of Liquid Paper International Corporation. More recently Mr. Erwin was president of E.T.C. Formations—International Trade Consultants. He has served as president of the International Trade Association of Dallas and as a member of the United States Commerce Department's District Export Council. Mr. Erwin is a lifelong Christian Scientist, class taught, and a member of The Mother Church, where he served as an Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School. His branch church experience includes service as First Reader, chairman of the board, and Sunday School teacher. He is currently a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Richardson, Texas.
