You are the light
When Christ Jesus said, "Ye are the light of the world," Matt. 5:14; he was speaking to his immediate listeners. But he was also conveying a message for people of all times. To followers of the Christ everywhere the divine Truth is saying, "Rather than simply being the object on which God's love is shining, you are the very radiance of divine Love. You are the light."
Radical as this concept may be, it is nevertheless true. Christian Science shows us that man is the likeness of divine Truth, Life, and Love—the spiritual expression of all that is good and true. What this means is that man's divinely ordained purpose is to be the expression of God.
How can we fulfill this requirement? How can we radiate the spiritual qualities of divine Truth, Life, and Love effectively?
