Supporting what's good
Some hopeful signs have been appearing in Africa, which call for our prayerful attention.
• At this writing it appears that a long conflict in Zimbabwe Rhodesia may be nearing an end, although critical elements of settlement are still to be worked out.
• Constructive political change has been taking place elsewhere in Africa, including a relatively smooth transfer of power from military to civilian hands in Nigeria and Ghana, free elections in Kenya following the decease of Jomo Kenyatta, the deposing of tyrannical regimes in Uganda and two other countries.
