Learning to express Life
The will of God, Life, for man, His highest idea, is enduring joy, health that does not vary, and spiritual fulfillment—in fact, all that is essentially good. But we must learn to do the will of God, in other words, to express Life as it truly is. We have the ability to do this; it's God-derived. The sincere desire, evidenced in dedication, devotion, and study to learn what God really is so that we can conform our lives to His purpose for us, is effective prayer.
In our true and only being we are perfect expressions, or ideas, of God—the one and only real Life—and we manifest all that constitutes Life. Christ Jesus, who invariably expressed God, said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Matt. 11:29; Is there any other sure path to harmony, satisfaction, and freedom from evil? Every individual is really seeking ideal conditions, although many in the darkness of spiritual ignorance may be taking paths foreign to divine Love and opposed to the infinitely good will of God.
Because thought precedes action, the unavoidable task facing us is to watch our thoughts alertly, discarding and refusing to identify ourselves with those that deny and oppose man's perfect relationship to God as His reflection and accepting only the thoughts that express the beauty, goodness, perfection, of Life, God.
