When my wife passed on last year, after we had had forty-seven...
When my wife passed on last year, after we had had forty-seven years in a most harmonious marriage, I had to grow from a grieving sense to spiritual sense. I needed to turn more to God, the origin and eternal Life of each one.
I gave six months to devoted study of Christian Science, spending an average of two hours daily in the Christian Science Reading Room, and attending church services and the Wednesday evening testimony meetings regularly, as well as Christian Science lectures. I have grown out of that sense of loss and I am stronger in my faith and understanding, in many ways.
Although I have been a member of The Mother Church since 1955, I have now, for the first time, become a member of a branch church. I have an earnest desire to grow spiritually and to apply my efforts in any and every way that I can be useful to further the interests of Christian Science. I understand and appreciate better than before that Mrs. Eddy was inspired of God to give to us the spiritual interpretation of the Holy Bible as it was taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.
