I have known Christian Science for years, and I feel that it is my duty to testify to some of the numerous blessings I have received.

A few years ago, in order to resolve an inharmonious family situation, upon the advice of persons who were acquainted with my problem, I decided to return to a place where I was known and where I could again take up profitable work I had left. It seemed the best of the solutions, and I had already received the help necessary for my move. Everything had been well planned, but I did not feel happy; I did not have within me that serenity of spirit that gives one the certainty of walking with God in the right way. So I decided to leave every plan to the will of the Father and to wait for His guidance.

It was a hard struggle, since it was difficult to set aside oppressing thoughts. When the temptation was most insistent, I did everything to school myself not to interfere in God's plan: I sang and prayed, affirming aloud the truth of God's presence and power, when I was by myself. Within me I was certain that only by leaving everything to Him would my problem be resolved. I continually repeated the words from Proverbs (3:5), "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
