Does Healing Stop with Yourself?
In a troubled Asian capital a correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor was hurrying to cover the burning of an American library by Communist demonstrators. As he cut through a narrow lane he ran headlong into a mob leaving the scene. The angry crowd whooped and pinned him between two cars.
"He's an American—let's kill him!" they shouted in the local language.
"They can't do that. We're all the children of God here," the Monitor man said to himself; whereupon one of the mob defended the embattled journalist.
