First and foremost I am grateful for having learned through studying Christian Science what God is and of man's relationship to Him; and for gaining the assurance of never being separated from His goodness and love throughout eternity. Also I am grateful for the way this teaching has been proved by the working our of problems in everyday life, and for many physical healings, including the following.
After a talk with a Christian Science practitioner many years ago I mentioned having had a toothache for a while, which a dentist could not put right. Shortly after this conversation, I realized the trouble was over.
When thanking the practitioner I decided to ask for prayerful help for hay fever, which I had suffered from since I was seven. That afternoon, in May, I went into the country to a garden party, and found the condition had been healed. It has never bothered me again.
