Free-flowing Traffic of ideas
Caught in a traffic jam at a peak hour, I noted how order was at last restored, how the lanes of traffic once again moved freely and harmoniously. It was because of the calm, authoritative directions of the officer on control duty and the alert, quietly confident response of those drivers willing to accept his direction unquestioningly.
Sometimes it happens that our lives appear to reach an impasse. The highway of our experience becomes jammed when we allow the demands of materiality to crowd in haphazardly upon us, creating problems of divided loyalties, financial overcommitments, overlapping responsibilities, or inadequacies of health or character.
In such a seemingly hopeless situation what can we do to restore order?
